Systems Administrator

Responsibilities for this position include:
|
|
Linux (Redhat based) systems administration including testing and upgrading servers, both hardware and software. Cisco router
configuration and maintenance. Programming in Perl and/or PHP. Radius, Apache, various SMTP and POP3 servers, MySQL. Advanced
telephone technical support with ISPs and business partners. Managing trouble tickets and reporting activity to reporter.
Advanced problem diagnosis on all above systems/applications. Rotating on-call 24x7 critical systems support. Provides technical
direction to junior members of staff and NOC personnel. Actively seek ways to improve and empower Tier1 support personnel to solve
problems without escalation.

Qualifications
|
|
- Absolute commitment to personal and corporate integrity.
- Positive attitude with an ethic of synergy, team-building and problem-solving.
- 3+ years direct experience with linux or unix based server environments.
- Ability to take directions and execute them in a timely manner.
- Strong background in native coding of HTML, PHP, MySQL, CSS and JavaScript.
- Strong organizational & time management skills.
- Must be able to multi-task and be deadline and goal oriented.
- Must demonstrate strong project management skills.
- Must be a team player, have excellent interpersonal skills.
While performing the duties of this job, the person is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle, or feel
objects, work with computers; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear;
taste or smell. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job
include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
